Let’s think about patriotism in a different light. Imagine an America where it is considered patriotic to pay people a living wage. It is considered patriotic that the people you employ are paid enough to maintain some semblance of stability. Let’s call it PROGRESSIVE EMPLOYMENT.
Progressive employment means that the employee that receives the least pay still gets paid enough to live a reasonable life.
How would the American economy perform, and imagine the enormous tax revenue that would be generated if businesspeople and corporations viewed their employees as valuable commodities that should be compensated fairly.
